Italy's first important exhibition of Mucha’s works was organised on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the artist’s birth.
The exhibition was presented in three parts:
- Mucha, the father of graphic art
- Mucha, the philosopher
- Mucha, the visionary artist
Visitors were invited to explore the cornerstones of Alphonse Mucha’s art: his great idealism, love and profound attachment to his homeland.
Over two hundred works from the Mucha Foundation’s collection were presented alongside forty works from private collections. Posters, books, drawings, sculptures, oils and watercolours, as well as photographs, jewellery and decorative works demonstrated Mucha's eclecticism and creative genius.
